The short version
- There are no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email or financial details to use a calculator.
- The numbers you type are worked out in your browser and are not sent to us.
- No ads, analytics or other third-party trackers run on the site yet. When ads are switched on, they will be served by Google, and you can already turn off personalized ads below.
- We honor the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request not to sell or share your data.
This policy explains what information smbcalc ("we") handles when you use smbcalc.com, why, and the choices you have. It covers the calculators, the coloring page maker and every other page on this site.
1What we collect
We don't run accounts, newsletters or forms that ask for personal details. We collect only what a website needs to work and to show ads:

We don't use analytics or tracking tools. At the moment the site loads no third-party scripts and sets no third-party cookies. We don't sell your information for money. We never pass personally identifiable information to Google.
2What stays on your device
The numbers you type into a calculator are calculated in your browser. They appear in the page address so you can bookmark or share a result, and they are not stored by us. Some features save things in your own browser so they are there next time:

These are used only to make the site work for you. They stay in your browser, are not sent to us and are not used for advertising. To delete them, remove your favorites or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
3Advertising and cookies
smbcalc is meant to be paid for by ads served by Google AdSense. Ads are not switched on yet, so no ad cookies are set today. Once ads are switched on, the following applies:
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
- Other ad technology companies may also place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, to collect information as a result of ads served on this site through Google's ad network.

4Your privacy choices
You can turn off personalized advertising in any of these ways. You'll still see ads, but they'll be based on the page you're reading rather than your browsing. Ads aren't shown yet, but a choice you make here is saved and will apply when they are.
- Google: visit Ads Settings to opt out of personalized ads from Google.
- Other ad companies: opt out at aboutads.info or the Network Advertising Initiative.
- On this site: use the button below. It also counts as your request that we do not sell or share your personal information.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends the GPC signal, we treat it the same as pressing the button.

5Rights for US residents
Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others with similar laws), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information is collected and how it's used;
- ask for a copy of it, or ask us to correct or delete it;
- opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (see Your privacy choices);
- not be treated differently for using these rights.
Because we don't keep accounts, the only personal information we hold directly is an email you send us. For ad data, the opt-outs above apply immediately. To make any other request, email hello@smbcalc.com; we answer within 45 days. No ads have run on the site, so no personal information has been disclosed to advertising partners.
6Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
No ads run yet, so no consent message is shown today. Once ads are switched on: If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent message from a Google-certified consent platform asks for your permission before ads use cookies or personal data. You can accept, refuse or choose by purpose, and change your mind at any time from the "Privacy settings" link in that message. If you refuse, you'll only see limited, non-personalized ads.
The legal basis for advertising cookies is your consent. Server logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in running a secure website. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7Children
smbcalc is made for adults running a business. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. The coloring pages are printed by businesses and parents for children to color; no information from a child is needed or collected. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
8How long we keep data
Server logs are kept for up to 30 days. Emails you send are kept as long as needed to answer you and then for up to 12 months. Data in your browser stays until you remove it, or for the times listed in the table above. Advertising partners keep data according to their own policies.
9Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, for example when ads are switched on, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date at the top.
