How the annual income calculation works

  1. Hourly pay × hours × weeks

    $28 an hour × 40 hours × 52 weeks is $58,240 a year.

  2. Paychecks × the number of pay periods

    Biweekly pay × 26, semi-monthly × 24, monthly × 12. A $2,000 biweekly check is $52,000 a year.

  3. Add other income for the year

Bonuses, commission and tips count toward gross annual income. A $3,000 bonus on $58,240 makes $61,240.

  4. Divide back down to compare offers

The calculator also shows the same income per month, per paycheck and per paid hour.

Worked example. At $28 an hour for 40 hours a week and 52 paid weeks, annual income is $58,240. That is $4,853.33 a month, $2,240 per biweekly paycheck and $1,120 a week.
