Materials, labor and extras on separate lines make the price easier to accept. Up to 10 lines fit on the one-page PDF.
Pick how long the price holds, tick Taxable on taxable lines, and enter the deposit you need to start. Write your payment terms, such as the balance on completion.
The customer signs the acceptance line. When the job is done, "Turn this into an invoice" carries everything to the invoice generator.
Need the price first? Use a pricing calculator, the contractor bid calculator or the markup calculator, then copy the total into a line here. Roofers can size the job with the roofing calculator and start from the roofing estimate template. When the job is paid, send a receipt.

Your business and contact details, the customer's name and address, an estimate number and date, how long the price is valid, a line for each part of the job with quantity and rate, any sales tax, the total, the deposit you need to start, your payment terms, and a place for the customer to accept.
Long enough for the customer to decide, short enough that your material prices still hold. 15 to 30 days is common; pick 60 days for slow-moving projects.
Use "Turn this into an invoice" under the download button. The invoice generator opens with the same customer, lines, taxable items and tax rate, and a note referring to the estimate number.

Many trades ask for a deposit to book the date and order materials. Check whether your state limits contractor deposits for home improvement work before you set one.
